DOVER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont town of Dover is looking to expand the Valley Trail by getting permission from landowners for easements.
The town wants to expand the trail by 2,700 feet.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports the Dover Select Board recently gave permission to begin the easement process, which will require permission from seven different landowners. Two of those easements would be temporary, meaning the land may or may not be used during future construction.
Applying for grants also is being considered.
