COLUMBIA, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a driver died after experiencing a "medical event" and colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
Police are still investigating the collision, which happened at about 8:40 a.m. Tuesday on Route 3 in Columbia.
Police said a driver heading northbound on Route 3 crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck head on. Their investigation indicates the car driver experienced a medical event, causing the vehicle to go into the other lane. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
The car driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are withholding the names until family has been notified.
