The F-35 is coming to Burlington but the fight over the new fighter jet is far from over.
Last Tuesday Vermont learned it will be home to 18 F-35s starting in 2020. The next-generation fighter jet will replace the Air Guard's current fleet of F-16s. Supporters of the guard, including several Vermont politicians, pushed to get the plane. Opponents tried to keep it away.
The decision to bring the plane here is not ending the dispute.
