There's one woman on a mission to give the gift of warmth to those less fortunate this holiday season. And it's her own heart to give-- and a few donations-- to her cause that are helping her spread the holiday spirit.
Renee Brent of South Burlington has been knitting hats and mittens every year for decades. This Christmas, she's donating 100 sets to anyone in need, including the Channel 3 Mitten Tree. With yarn she purchases every year and donations, she's been able to make thousands of cozy creations. It's a mission she says keeps her inspired and reminds her what the holiday season is really all about.
"I just said as long as I'm able to see well enough with my special glasses that I wear and my hands hold up, I will do this. And that's my family's gift to me, buying the yarn, so that I can," Brent said.
