'Captain Phillips' captures Golden Globe nominations

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -

The Hollywood blockbuster about a Vermont sea captain's run-in with pirates could strike gold.

"Captain Phillips" was nominated Thursday for four Golden Globes, including best picture.

The film is the true story of Captain Richard Phillips of Underhill and the capture of his ship off the Somali coast. Tom Hanks picked up a best actor nomination for his portrayal of Phillips. Other nominations were for best supporting actor and best director.
