Have you ever heard of an underground supper party? Vermont State police say they're real-- and now one is under investigation for fraud.
It happened in Salisbury. Tuesday, police got a complaint from victims who say they bought tickets to a secret supper back in June, but were never told where it would be held. Their next dinner was supposed to be free, but after they paid, they say they never got another call or a refund.
Police say legitimate underground suppers allow adventurous eaters to buy dinner tickets to secret eateries, but the locations aren't revealed until shortly before the meal.
Police say in this case they have not been able to reach the suspected private chef. Anyone with information is asked to call Vermont State Police in New Haven.
