BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Police have arrested two men on drug sale and possession charges following a two-month investigation in Burlington.
Detectives arrested 28-year-old Senai Belai of the Bronx, N.Y., and 37-year-old Jamal Walker of Starksboro on Wednesday.
Belai is charged with four counts of sale of heroin, felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of cocaine. Police say he has a lengthy crime history in New York City that includes previous drug convictions.
Walker is charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin and felony possession of cocaine. He is currently on probation in Vermont and has two prior convictions for selling cocaine.
Both are being held at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail. It was not immediately known if they were represented by lawyers.
