Vt.'s Brooks House decorated for the holidays

Posted: Updated:

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - The 140-year-old Brooks House in Brattleboro, Vt., is decorated for the holidays, the first time since a fire damaged the building two years ago.

The 2011 fire left the building in the center of town unusable.

A $24 million redevelopment project was secured earlier this year. The Brooks House Development has installed a lighting display on its iconic tower.

The new building will host campuses from the Community College of Vermont and Vermont Technical College, in addition to other businesses.
