State Police: Weather causes two-car collision

FAIRFAX, Vt. -

State Police say weather was partially to blame for a two-car collision in Fairfax.

According to officials on scene, a jeep slid sideways on the ice on Route 104 and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The jeep ended up on its side in the middle of the road. Firefighters were forced to use tools to pry open the roof and rescue the occupant.

The extent of injuries are unclear.

The cause of the crash is being investigated, but police say weather was a contributing factor.
