BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Green Mountain Power says it has restored electricity to all of its 38,000 customers who lost power during the ice storm. But the Vermont Electric Cooperative is still scrambling to get the lights back on. At 6 p.m. Tuesday, about 3,000 customers were still without power, most of them VEC customers.

On the Channel 3 News at 6 p.m., VEC CEO Dave Hallquist joined us with the latest update on the outages and when they expect to get customers back online. He also discussed the problems and challenges the utility faces after the ice storm.
