Plea deal for Hinesburg man facing federal drug charges

A Hinesburg man arrested for making meth at his parents' house has accepted a plea agreement. Under the deal, Jacob Berino will spend three years in prison.

Police say Berino was injured when his makeshift meth lab exploded last October. He was later arrested on federal drug charges.

According to federal court documents, Berino has agreed to plead guilty to one count of attempting to manufacture narcotics.

He remains behind bars until sentencing.
