Most of the power outages caused by last weekend's ice storm have been repaired, but utility crews remain busy with new outages.
Vermont Electric Co-op announced a milestone Friday morning-- the restoration of service to the last of the customers who lost electricity when the storm initially hit last Saturday and Sunday. Between all of the state's utilities, some 80,000 outages have been restored this week.
But Thursday's snowstorm caused more ice-laden trees to come down on power lines, and so several hundred more customers have lost power. Almost all of those outages are in Franklin County.
