Church Street vigil honors Andy Williams

Posted: Updated:

A huge crowd Saturday evening to celebrate the life of a well-known Burlington DJ.

Friends and loved ones of Andy Williams gathered at the top of Church Street for a candlelight vigil.

Williams, who was better known as DJ A-Dog, grew up in St. Albans after moving to Vermont from New Jersey. He has been a staple in the Burlington club scene for nearly two decades.

A-Dog also was the headlining DJ at dozens of events, sponsored by Burton Snowboards, such as the 2012 U.S. Open in Stratton.

The 38-year-old passed away Thursday after losing his battle with leukemia. Friends say his music will live on forever.
