A St. Albans man is behind bars following an armed road rage incident.
It happened Sunday afternoon in St. Albans. Police say a motorist called 911 reporting that she and her husband were driving along Federal Street when a car cut in front of them. The driver later tailgated and pulled alongside, verbally harassing them and allegedly pointing a rifle at them.
Police, using the suspects description and license plate, tracked down Jason Gagne, 36 of St. Albans. He was arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment, Assault and DUI 4th Offense. Police say a Marlin 30.30 rifle was found in his car. He is due in court on January 13.
Police say no one was injured and no shots were fired during the incident.
