Winooski Police hope you can help them solve a string of burglaries.
Tyler Branon of Winooski was picked up at a Shelburne motel for heroin possession. Investigators found about 50 bags. He denied the charges in court Monday. Branon told police he is a heroin addict and that his addiction has left him homeless. Winooski Police also plan to charge him with breaking into homes on Hickock and Clifford Streets -- and Florida Avenue -- over the last few months. But they say they need more information to close other cases.
"We suspect that Mr. Branon has been involved in quite a few of the burglaries throughout the city, so again we're continuing that investigation and we're looking for any information that someone might have that may link him to the burglaries that we do have reported to us," said Winooski Police Chief Steven McQueen.
Police say evidence collected at burglary scenes is key in connecting a suspect to a crime. If your home is broken into, Chief McQueen says call police and avoid touching anything, so the scene is not disturbed.
