Carmen Tarleton is taking her inspirational story of recovery and empowerment overseas.
Tarleton left Saturday for London where she will be sharing her story on ITV's morning show. The Thetford mom was a brutal victim of domestic violence several years ago, which scarred more than 80 percent of her body. She recently received a face transplant at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Tarleton has become a spokesperson for overcoming life's obstacles.
"I just feel like since this all happened and the years have been passing, I know how much it helps people to see me," Tarleton said. "And, I know that it is easy for me to help people just by sharing my story."
This is Tarleton's first trip to Europe. She only plans to stay in London for a few days. This Spring Tarleton will be back at the hospital for additional surgeries.
