If you're trying to fly somewhere -- you may be out of luck. Air travel is a real nightmare right now, and Monday's warmer weather in Burlington didn't help ease the backlog at the Burlington Airport.
Eleven flights were canceled Monday. Airport officials say some major airlines began pre-canceling flights due to inclement weather, with Jet Blue completely stopping service until Tuesday to catch up with the weather delays. Fog in Boston caused major backups for Northeastern fliers.
The airport was clogged with passengers -- many say they can't get rebooked for up to a week.
"We were delayed till tomorrow. Had a flight that was canceled, now scheduled to leave Friday -- a week after originally supposed to leave," said stranded traveler Jock McLane.
"Today I was supposed to fly out. So many delays and I have to wait a week here. Three weeks supposed to be here, so it has been an adventure," said Aimee Bosley.
Airport officials expect traffic back to normal Tuesday. They've been out sweeping the runways to get rid of pooling water so it doesn't freeze. But those with canceled or delayed trips, don't expect a flight for days.
