MORRISONVILLE, N.Y. -

Police in Morrisonville say a woman was caught cashing in on thousands of dollars of unemployment benefits, even though she had a job.

Authorities say Tonya LaFountain, 30, received $8,337.25 in New York State unemployment benefits between July 2011 and June 2013.

LaFountain was charged last week with a number of crimes, including grand larceny and falsifying business records.

She is due back in court later this month.
