New Hampshire lawmakers are considering a bill that would legalize the recreational use of the drug for anyone 21 and older.
The bill would tax the drug at a rate of $30 an once.
It would also let people grow up to six pot plants.
Supporters say this is modeled after recent laws in Colorado and Washington state and could bring in millions of dollars in tax revenue.
Opponents argue marijuana is bad for people's health and would be difficult to regulate because it's still illegal under federal law.
The vote is scheduled for Wednesday.
