St. Albans police investigate string of burglaries

ST. ALBANS, Vt. -

Police want to know who's behind a dozen burglaries in St. Albans.

They happened over the last two days at seasonal homes on Cove Road and West Shore Road. That's where police found a number of properties with broken windows and doors, and evidence that somebody forced their way inside the houses. Police believe the burglaries on the two streets are connected.

"It's unfortunate. It's tough for them because it's a place for them to enjoy. It's their kind of vacation. It's a violation of their privacy. Hopefully we can give them some peace of mind in the end," St. Albans Police Sgt. Joseph Thomas said.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance images from one of the houses for leads. Anyone with any information is asked to call St. Albans police.
