Montpelier Frostival celebrates frigid weather

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

A great way to celebrate the frigid weather-- Montpelier's Frostival-- kicks off Friday and runs all weekend.

The second annual event takes place at venues across the capital city.

Friday night features the ever popular Bob Dylan Wannabe contest, which is making a return after a four-year hiatus. Saturday's main event is a "snow ball" at City Center with waltzing to live music.

"It's really just a great way just to be around your neighbors in a different setting. To undo all of these layers and to get all dolled up for something special," said Phayvanh Luekhamhan of Montpelier Alive.

The weekend of Frostival events wraps up Sunday with the annual Fire and Ice celebration at the North Branch Nature Center. Click here for more information on Frostival events.
