A somber funeral procession through Saranac Lake Thursday morning.
Police officers, State Forest Rangers and Veterans gathered to honor an Australian soldier who died in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. A motorcade escorted the hearse carrying Paul McKay's casket through the village on its way to New York City, where his remains will be flown back home to Australia. McKay, who was an Army captain, froze to death on the summit of Scarface Mountain two weeks ago.
The medical examiner says his death was a suicide.
