The Vermont Children's Trust Foundation held their 1/9 Miler in support of children in need.
Participants Sunday warmed up with a little help from the LGBT community before the race kicked off. It's been deemed the least challenging race, but that didn't stop racers from preparing. After taking off down Church Street, everyone made their way back inside to get out of the cold.
"We fund things like pre-school, after school programs, literacy, mentoring -- all sorts of things that give kids a leg up for success in life," said Linda Allen VCTF's Co-executive Director.
This is the second year the race has been held on Church Street. All ages were welcome.
