Police: Teen restrains girl, prevents her from calling for help

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -

Brattleboro Police say a girl was attacked at the Brattleboro Area Middle School and a high school student did it.

Police say the 12-year-old girl was grabbed, restrained and had her mouth covered by a 16-year-old boy.

She was able to break free, run away and call for help.

Police found the teen and charged him with unlawful restraint. He's a student at Brattleboro Union High School.

Police say both kids were attending a community event on school property.
