A probation violation hearing ended with the mother of the defendant being arrested.
Mario Foley of Pownal was appearing in Bennington Criminal Court on a probation violation complaint Friday, when his mother burst into the courtroom shouting and was subsequently arrested.
"It's discrimination against pregnant women in the workplace" Janet Foley said. "I am not under any national security orders. I never signed, I opted out and I have the right to speak!"
The Bennington Sheriff's Department said Foley was taken into custody for her conduct in the courtroom and was later cited and released charged with disorderly conduct. She is set to appear in court Feb. 24.
