A traffic stop led to heroin charges for a Fair Haven man.
Around 1:30 p.m. Friday a trooper pulled over 26-year-old Louis Tobin on Interstate 91 in Westminster for an alleged motor vehicle violation.
Police say Tobin took off running when the trooper questioned him about drug activity. The trooper tased Tobin -- and was injured himself in the struggle.
Police say they found 42 bags of heroin in Tobin's car. He was charged with drug possession attempting to elude and resisting arrest. He was held for lack of 25,000 dollars bail.
