WESTMINSTER, Vt. -

Vermont state police say a traffic stop led to a big drug bust.

They say, at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, they stopped 33-year-old Eugenia Emerson on I-91 in Westminster for lane violations.

But they say a police k-9 also detected drugs, and when the Springfield woman allowed them to search her car, they found nearly 700 bags of heroin under the rear seat cushion.

They say it was hidden right under the seat where her 5-year-old daughter was sitting.

Emerson now faces heroin trafficking charges.
