Seven straight points from U-32's Ryan Booth in the final minutes of the fourth quarter helped the Raiders boys basketball team to a 54-49 win over Lyndon on Monday Night. The game was a match-up of the top two teams in Division 2. U-32 improves to 11-3 while Lyndon drops to 10-3.
Lyndon's Mason Lantz led all scorers with 21 points as the Vikings had a 7 point lead at halftime.
U-32 started its rally in the third quarter led by Chris Collins and his team high 19 points. Booth, who reached the 1,000 point mark for his career Friday night, added 13 points.
It was career victory number 624 for raiders head coach Dan Gandin. That makes him Vermont's winningest high school basketball coach. He passes former Essex and Burlington girls head coach Jean Robinson. This is Gandin's 40th year coaching in the state, the last 36 with U-32.
