Stores collect jeans for homeless

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Don't wait until spring to clean out your closets, because in South Burlington you can also help a good cause.

The Aeropostale store at the University Mall is launching its Teens for Jeans campaign. The store is collecting gently worn jeans in any size, brand or style to donate to local homeless shelters in the area.

"People can come in and donate a pair. We're so grateful, the community loves getting involved with it. So people do just come in and drop them off. It's just a great way to clean out your closet and help local teens at the same time," said Shannon Trembley of Aeropostale.

In addition to the U-Mall, the store in the Champlain Centres mall in Plattsburgh is also participating.
