The fate of a New York State trooper facing felony charges of rape and sexual assault remains undecided. The jury ended its second day of deliberations with no verdict.
Trooper Trevor Donah is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual assault and five misdemeanors, including assault, criminal obstruction and unlawful imprisonment.
The jury spent Tuesday listening to the repeated testimony of the alleged victim in this case.
This isn't Donah's first time facing charges. He was acquitted in November of the alleged rape of an ex-girlfriend. And even when this trial wraps up, he'll face another trial of a third rape accusation.
Donah remains on paid leave from the police department. According to authorities, the alleged crimes occurred while Donah was off duty.
Trial will continue Wednesday at the Clinton County Courthouse in Plattsburgh. The jury has requested to hear more testimony repeated.
