After a foiled escape plan a Vermont inmate is back behind bars.
The Marshfield man was on the run for less than three hours Tuesday before a manhunt lead to his capture.
Authorities say 28-year-old Jonathan Henry was taken to Central Vermont Medical Center for dialysis. He told staff he had to go to the bathroom and disappeared just after 5 p.m.
State and local police were immediately notified about the escape. A U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter was also called in. Authorities say they found Henry around 7:30 p.m. near the River Run mobile home park on Route 302 in Berlin.
State Police say Henry was jailed last month accused of aggravated assault. His criminal history includes convictions of assault and robbery with a weapon, unlawful trespass and possession of marijuana.
Corrections is now investigating whether Henry had help.
