Many Vermonters are used to this type of snowstorm, the kind that brings some serious accumulation, slower travel times and issues on the roads.
Like what one plow driver ran into in Milton. The Milton Fire Department says the plow truck collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the truck had to be extricated from the vehicle and was treated for a broken arm with possible neck and back injuries. Both drivers, however, are said to be doing well at this time.
Drivers ran into trouble all over the state.
"One of the problems we really saw is when the traffic was backed up people started hitting the U-turns and that causes some serious problems for us on the interstate," Vt. State Police Sgt. Garry Scott said.
As far as winter goes, however, Wednesday's storm is the kind that many hope for. It is the quintessential "winter wonderland," complete with powder and fresh white blankets of snow. Compared to what we have seen so far this winter, some VTrans crews call this a piece of cake.
"This is actually a typical storm for us. We like these kinds of storms, ones that's straight snow coming at us, no rain, no freezing rain or ice involved," said Dave Blackmore of VTrans.
And we may see another storm hit the area this weekend, which could interrupt travel plans. Weather elsewhere was the only snag at the Burlington airport, but what should you do if you have a flight out of Burlington this weekend?
"Certainly call ahead, communicate with your airline, not necessarily the airport. I expect there are going to be some more delays and cancellations because it's supposed to be a significant storm, so it's good to just check ahead," said Gene Richards of the Burlington International Airport.
