An arrest in an attempted murder that has gone unsolved for more than two years.

Wednesday afternoon, Vermont State Police arrested Emily Perkins, 27, of Tunbridge, for the attempted murder of Emma Jozefiak, 19.

Authorities say the development comes after an extensive investigation and processing of forensic evidence.

Police say they found Jozefiak with a gunshot wound and unresponsive during a welfare check at a Bethel home back in November 2011. Police also found Scott Hill, 48, of Bethel, dead from a gunshot wound during the check. Police are still looking for tips related to his murder.

Perkins also faces drug and burglary charges. She is being held without bail and will be arraigned in Windsor District Court Thursday.
