A Plattsburgh roadway is getting a multimillion dollar facelift.
New York transportation officials say $3 million in state funding will help overhaul a mile of South Catherine Street, from the bridge over the Saranac River to South Peru Street.
Officials say the project is key to the city's economic growth and will make it easier for drivers to access Interstate 87 and the Plattsburgh Airport.
The project is expected to cost $6 million. Work will begin this summer.
