FEURA BUSH, N.Y. -

Burton Snowboards is closing warehouse operations in New York and Quebec.

The world's largest snowboard manufacturer says it decided not to renew a contract with a company that runs a distribution center outside of Albany. A similar facility outside of Montreal has also closed. Burton says it is centralizing its distribution operations to a facility in Columbus, Ohio.

Burton says 75 new jobs have been created since it opened the Ohio facility a year ago. That's about the same number of jobs that will be lost in New York.

Burton is based in Burlington where it currently employs about 400 people.
