State holds workshops on Vt. Health Connect

Posted: Updated:
MONTPELIER, Vt. -

With the deadline again looming for joining Vermont's health exchange, the state is reaching out to consumers to help them sign up.

Vermont Health Connect has been riddled with problems since its original launch in October. That caused the governor to push back the enrollment deadline from Jan. 1 to April 1. And though the online insurance marketplace is still not fully functional, the deadline is not expected to be extended again.

So for those who need to enroll, the state is holding a pair of workshops Saturday. One is at Rutland Regional Medical Center from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in CVPS/Leahy Community Health Education Center. The other is at Essex High School from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the computer lab. They'll have trained staff on-site at computer labs in Rutland and Essex Junction to help guide consumers through the enrollment process. Click here for more information and other events.
