Marlboro tower to provide wireless

MARLBORO, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Public Service Board has approved an application for a 140-foot cell tower to be built on the top of Hogback Mountain in Marlboro.

The tower by VTel would provide wireless and mobile broadband and mobile voice service to almost 2,000 households in Whitingham, Dover and Halifax.

Diane Guite, company vice president of business development, tells the Brattleboro Reformer  engineers hope to being working as soon as the ground thaws. The company hopes to have to tower in operation by the middle of the summer.
