STOWE, Vt. -

Vermont's public safety commissioner says he was not seriously hurt in a car accident in Stowe.

Keith Flynn tells WCAX News he was stopped at the intersection of Stage Coach Road and Route 100 letting cars go by. As he pulled out on to Route 100, another driver rear-ended his car.

The state-issued vehicle sustained about $1,600 in damage. The commissioner was not seriously hurt. He says he's just sore from Tuesday's crash. The driver of the other car was not hurt either.

Both men drove to the Stowe Police Department to report the crash. Then, Commissioner Flynn says he continued on to work.
