Troubled Vt. mobile home park auctioned for $31K

Posted: Updated:

BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont mobile home park that underwent foreclosure proceedings following notices to fix problems with its water supply has been auctioned off for $31,000.

The Sunset Farm Mobile Home Park in Bennington was sold Thursday to Bryan Millard, who also is the park manager of Green Mountain Mobile Home Park in Pownal.

The Bennington Banner reports Millard said he was buying the property on behalf of a group of investors.

Millard will be responsible for about $40,000 in delinquent taxes on the property. It's also estimated to cost $153,000 to bring the water system into compliance, and $635,000 to bring the sewage system into compliance.

Millard said the plan is to keep it a nice mobile home park.
