Disappointing day for US skiers

Another disappointing day on the slopes for American Alpine skiers.

Five-time Olympic medalist Bode Miller of Franconia, N.H., finished sixth in the super-combined competition, which combines a downhill run and a slalom run.

Andrew Weibrecht of Lake Placid was unable to finish the slalom course.

Defending super-combined world champion Ted Ligety finished 12th.

Among some of the other results Friday, Hannah Dreissigacker of Morrisville was 23rd in the 15-kilometer biathlon. And Ashley Caldwell of Lake Placid was in first after the qualification round in women's aerial skiing.
