WORCESTER, Vt. -

State Police are investigating a stabbing in Central Vermont. They say it centered around doughnuts.

Investigators were called to a home on Elmore Road in Worcester around 9:30 p.m. Monday for a man with stab wounds.

Police are not releasing the victim's name. But they say Gregory Rainville, 27, stabbed the other man.

Rainville was taken into custody and told police the reason behind the fight was an argument over doughnuts that escalated.

Rainville is in police custody and will be in court Tuesday facing aggravated assault charges.

The victim was sent to Central Vermont Medical Center for treatment.
