Police charge Jay woman with disorderly conduct

Posted: Updated:

JAY, Vt. (AP) - Police say they have charged a Vermont woman with disorderly conduct in an elementary school parking lot.

Police say Dawn Davis, 40, of Jay, was in a dispute Wednesday with Pavel Malm, 42, at their home. Authorities say Davis followed Malm from their residence to the Jay Country Store parking lot, where their fight continued. Police say Malm then tried to take refuge in the Jay/Westfield Joint Elementary School parking lot.

Police say Davis followed Malm to the lot and drove her car into Malm's rear bumper.

Police said the elementary school was never placed on lockdown because there was no direct threat to students or school personnel. It was not immediately known if Davis was being represented by lawyer.
