BOSCAWEN, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire State Forest Nursery is offering more than 40 species of tree and shrub seedlings for delivery this spring.
The nursery, which has been operating for more than 100 years, says it's offering 13 species of conifers, including pine, spruce and fir, three species of hardwood trees, including maple and walnut, and 25 species of deciduous shrubs.
Five packages of mixed seedlings also are available. That includes the winter survival package, which contains plants that produce fruit that will remain on the plant into the winter months, providing a food source for wildlife.
The nursery distributes over 300,000 seedlings annually, mostly to New Hampshire landowners and residents.
