MORRISVILLE, Vt. -

A custom woodworking shop in Morrisville was heavily damaged by fire Monday morning.

Crews were called to A.R. Foss on Laporte Road at about 2 a.m. Firefighters say when they arrived the building was already engulfed in flames. Everyone was able to make it out safely. The fire chief said it was hard containing the fire with wind causing flare-ups.

"We're doing some overhaul trying to check for hot spots and trying to take where the roof has collapsed and try to take that out so we can get to all of them," said  Morrisville Fire Chief Shawn Goodell.

Traffic was being re-routed from Cochran Road to Golf Course Road to bypass the fire.
