Vt. nonprofit helps kids find adventure

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH HERO, Vt. -

It has been a day of adventures for a group of kids involved with Partners in Adventure.

That's a nonprofit that gives children with all ability levels the chance to do all kinds of fun things, including horseback riding!

Thursday, 17 kids got to ride horses at the Champlain Adaptive Mounted Program in South Hero.

"We partner friends with disabilities and without disabilities throughout the summer and we offer activities like horseback riding and we go sailing, archery and rock climbing. All these activities fully adapted for kids in wheelchairs and all the way up to friends who can't hardly move their bodies at all," said camp director Kimberly Robinson.

Partners in Adventure includes people ages 7-25. Click here if you're interested in learning more about summer sessions.
