LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old man accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death inside their Buffalo-area apartment earlier this month has been charged with second-degree murder.
Local media outlets report that Damoni Hall of Lackawanna pleaded not guilty to the charges Friday in Erie County Court. Officials say Hall was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in Buffalo.
He's charged with fatally stabbing 26-year-old Tequila Suter. Police say her body was found Feb. 16 in the couple's apartment in Lackawanna. Authorities say she's believed to have been killed the day before.
Hall is being held without bail in the Erie County Holding Center.
Police say they don't have a motive for the slaying.
