PROCTOR, Vt. -

The search continued Friday for a missing woman from Proctor.

Maryann Foster, 59, has been missing since Monday.

Her boyfriend, Tom Withem, reported her missing Wednesday after he said she did not return phone calls.

At her home on Meadow Street, her keys and car were found.

Townspeople said she is a quiet woman who used to bartend at a neighborhood pub.

The Rutland County Sheriff's Department says although foul play is not suspected, they do have the Bureau of Criminal Investigation involved and have upped their forces in the search.

Sheriff Benard says they have brought in New England Canine-- highly trained canines that specialize in "air scenting," which is sniffing an item of clothing or other personal item and then searching out that scent.

Foster is described as a white woman with blonde hair, about 5-foot-2-inches tall, 100 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the Rutland County Sheriff's Department at 802-775-8002.
