Designer drugs seized in Littleton

Posted: Updated:
LITTLETON, N.H. -

New Hampshire authorities say they've seized dangerous designer drugs.

Local police and federal Drug Enforcement Agents confiscated close to $2,000 in synthetic cannabinoids from a Littleton business. The designer drugs commonly known as Spice or K-2 are marketed with a disclaimer that they're not for human consumption. But police say these marijuana alternatives have become popular with teens and can cause anxiety, paranoia and hallucinations.

Police did not release the business' name but said the owner was not aware the drugs were illegal.
