Vermonters continue to shine at Jr. Nationals

STOWE, Vt. - It was a successful day for some of our Vermont athletes Friday at the USSA Junior Nordic Championships at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe in the mass-start freestyle races.

On the girls side, Landgrove native and Stratton Mountain School's Katharine Ogden wins the U-18 10K.

Meanwhile, in the U-16 5K, it's Rutland standout Chloe Levins coming in second, SMS's Mackenzie Rizio was 6th.

On the boys side, Woodstock's Zane Fields & Mansfield Nordic's Ben Hegman both post top 12 finishes in the U-18 10K race. 

In the U-16 5K, SMS's Russell Boswell finishes third, Mansfield's Forrest Hamilton 8th and Craftsbury's Anders Hanson 13th.

The competition concludes with relay races Saturday.
