IRISH FESTIVAL

The 19th annual Burlington Irish Heritage Festival kicks off today. There is a lecture about the role of Irish immigrants in the Civil War at the Vermont Genealogy Library in Colchester and St. Michael's College Concert for St. Patrick: The Alan Kelly Gang also in Colchester. 10:30 & 7pm

CHILI FESTIVAL

The Vermont Chili Festival is happening in Middlebury from 1pm - 4pm today. It has been named one of the Top 10 Winter Events for the past five years by The Vermont Chamber of Commerce.

SNOWBOARD DESIGN

There's a Snowboard Design Workshop at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe. Kids use sketches and photography as Kelly Holt helps artists ages 5 through 10 create eye-catching equipment. That's from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

PIANO CONCERT

Katherine Chi, the established pianist, offers lively interpretations of works by Haydn, Beethoven and others. That's at 7:30 tonight at South Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury. Tickets are six to eighteen dollars.

BIRD WALK

WOMEN'S FILM FESTIVAL

ADVENTURE RACING

Green Mountain Adventure Racing Association (GMARA) is holding the inaugural Wintry Wonder, an adventure event designed for families and teams of children. It's a 3-hour event at Bolton Valley Resort. It features snowshoeing and trail exploration. It costs $5 a person. More information at: www.gmara.org/wintry
